IT'S AMAZING how many times local people contact the Chestnut Center looking for an artist or a performer for their project! Or how many audition notices and contest opportunities come our way. We're delighted when the public wants to use live performers and original artworks. Putting these opportunities in view is the purpose of ArtsCONNECT.
IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR ARTS OPPORTUNITIES:
Sign up for ArtsCONNECT, our FREE email series telling you about arts opportunities we think may interest you.
YOU'LL GET THE WORD about opportunities available for our local authors, performers and artists. Typical listings will be the "help-wanted" type --- like audition notices, musician-needed or artist-sought. But we may also send invitations to apply for juried shows, performance showcases, commissions, or competitions. Occasionally, the notices will be state/national level, but our focus will be mostly local.
ONCE YOU GET the notice, it's up to you. We'll publish the contact information for you to pursue on your own. These are free listings. Chestnut Center does not endorse any of these opportunities. Nor do we screen them, check facts, or negotiate prices. We pass them on, and the "due diligence" part is up to you.
ANYONE WHO WANTS to hear about these opportunities may sign up for ArtsCONNECT emails. Please encourage others to contact us, too. Teachers, for example, may wish to receive ArtsCONNECT to help find opportunities for their students.
