It’s easier than you think to present or produce an event here. Simply contact us to discuss your idea. Our goal is to facilitate arts of every variety and style. So we encourage people to get involved and “Make it happen at Chestnut!” The sky’s the limit!
Chestnut Center is different than most arts centers, when it comes to programming.
Our “arts incubator” operating philosophy creates an exciting climate for people who want to bring their favorite art form to the public. Unlike most arts centers, we intentionally have no programming committee acting as gatekeeper. It’s risky... but, as a result, any art form or style can find a public forum. The only limits are individual creativity and energy.
That’s why Chestnut continues to foster such amazing diversity.
Our facilities are open to individuals, groups and organizations. Whether you envision a single performance, a concert series, a workshop or other event, there are many ways to proceed. Do you plan to perform, direct or lead the event ... or have you got other talent in mind? We’ve had people do it successfully both ways. Some have self-produced their own performances, and others brought in a great performer they’ve heard elsewhere.
We’ll work with you in a number of ways:
■ to develop your publicity plan ■ to define & make technical arrangements ■ to identify potential collaborators and resources ■ to determine your best audience or customer base
