Norwegian Rosemaling

Rosemaling is a decorative folk art painting of Norway. We will study the

Agder style of rosemaling from southern Norway. This style which is

typified by light colors on a dark background, is symmetrical and somewhat

geometric. There are teardrops galore along the leaves and scrolls. Colors

are opague with red, black and white overlays. Oval flowers are split down the middle the middle with contrasting colors.

This class is open to beginners and to those who would like to advance their

skills.

This class will be done is acrylics. Classes will be taught by Carol Bender:

Cost: $95 for 2 ½ hour classes

Includes canvas board, brushes, paints and handouts

Tuesdays: October 27- November 3, 10 17, 24, & Dec. 1,

Two class options:

12:30-3 P.M.

6:30-9 P.M. Please register by October 20
