The nonprofit Chestnut Center for the Arts was founded in the Summer of 2003 by a local couple and local art lovers who had a common vision to transform a historic building into a community arts center. Chestnut Center for the Arts exists today due to broad community support.
The Chestnut Center for the Arts is Marshfield's nonprofit community venue for the visual and performing arts, as well as educational art classes, workshops and special events. The arts center also houses individual artists' and musicians' studios. Our goal is to offer a broad scope of programming and opportunities to enjoy or participate in the arts that appeal to all age demographics and families.
The Chestnut Center for the Arts provides rental spaces for teaching, rehearsing, performing, and meeting for community members and business groups. In addition, our beautiful “Chapel on Chestnut” is available for weddings and the Ballroom for receptions. We strive to bring the arts to our community and provide the space you need to make the arts a part of your life.
